The matra in Sitges is to relax during the day and party in the evening. It's probably no surprise, therefore, that there aren't that many things to do during the day than the odd museum, a little shopping, relaxing on the beach, a long lazy lunch or, of course, a siesta! Failing that, jump on a train to Barcelona, but our experience is that you probably won't get round to it...
 

		Església de Sant Bartomeu i Tecia This church is truly the iconic image of Sitges. A seventeenth century building that dominates the seafront of Sitges and is a focus for many of Sitges' festivals and events. There is often open air entertainment at the front. 		Museu Maricel For art enthusiasts, a wander around this palace building is well worth it. Housing the private collection of art of Charles Deering (an American who understandably fell under the spell of Sitges), exhibits range from medieval to 20th century works - via Romanesque and Rennaissance. There are also a number of terraces, some of which afford astonishing views. Open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year. During the summer, look out for evening musical concerts and recitals. C. 		Museu Romàntic Find out how the aristocrats lived during the Rennaissance period at this wonderfully preserved family home. Guided tours are offered during opening hours which are daily from Tuesday to Sunday (peak) and Tuesday to Friday (off peak) C. Sant Gaudenci, 1, Sitges 93 894 2969
		Gay Beach Although the beach along Sitges front is pretty much gay friendly everywhere, most discerning gay guys and gals tend to head for Bassa Rodona, in front of the Calipolis Hotel. Here, you can hire sun loungers and spend the day sunning yourself and people watching / cruising... If you're after a nudist beach, there is one around 3km away to the south.
