Surely one of the friendliest venues in Southampton, and handily situated at the edge of the finest dining areas of the city, is The London Hotel. Known locally as The London, it's perhaps wise to remember that The London is actually in Southampton - just to avoid confusion after the sort of revelry they're famous for!
A 19th Century building stikes an impressive pose on Terminus Terrace is close to the city's shopping and nightlife districts and close to major bus routes to the rest of the city. Meanwhile, the venue's interior has been recently refurbished with a blue and gold colour scheme giving it a theatrical feel with a dash of camp. Hardly surprising with it's reputation for attracting some of the top cabaret stars in the country at regular cabaret nights.
For those of you who are peckish, there's a great menu light bites and traditional pub favourites at excellent prices. It is, without a doubt, a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy the atmosphere by day or by night.
