Manchester lad lands Mr Gay Gran Canaria title

Next time you pack those suitcases for your summer holiday double check that pair of trunks you own are sexy enough. You never know when you might need them. Something Manchester lad Dempsey learnt whilst holidaying in Gran Canaria last month. Initially just a spectator Dempsey found himself being talked into entering the annual ‘Mr Gay Gran Canaria’ event on the island. Several questions, a few poses and one catwalk showdown later and he was crowned Mr Gay Gran Canaria 2008.

“I didn’t want to join in the event as I’m quite the shy type.” explains Dempsey.
“I was thinking about it after my friends were willing me to take part, but when I saw some of the contestants that had already entered, some having bodies to die for, my nerves were completely blown.” Encouraged by a good friend to conquer those nerves Dempsey was soon parading with the best of them and ended up walking away with the title of ‘MR G C 2008’, a cash prize and an automatic entry into this years ‘Mr Gay Europe’ competition in Budapest this July. “‘The next competition in Budapest will be a great experience and I can’t wait.” said Dempsey “I just hope my nerves hold up”.
