Scotty's Soho Pride 2007...
review
Soho Pride is upon us again! From noon to early evening the streets were packed with dancing, music and laughter with some of the city's best DJs and entertainers. The event is staged right in the heart of the country's capital, based around Soho Square, Carlisle Street and Rubert Street in W1 - a veritable village within a city.
There were crowds gathered at all the performance areas watching the hot feather-headed men and DJs at the Gaydar Radio stage (Terry Bryan, Paul Heron and more), the fantastic line-up at the Candy Bar Stage sponsored by Gaydar Girls (D'Jara, Minx, Philly and Slamma with MCs Brandy and Crystal and those infamous Candy pole dancers!), and at the Rupert Street stage (QX magazine), as well as people just relaxing in Soho Square or just indulging in a spot of drinking with friends. Everyone was celebrating pride with a smile on their faces - even though the sun and heat were greatly missed!
The businesses, bars and clubs that supported the event deserve a mention: The Edge, Candy Bar, Element, Too2Much, Barcode, The Yard, Prowler Soho, Rupert Street, Escape, Village, Duke of Wellington, Clone Zone Soho, Comptons, Balans, Admiral Duncan, G-A-Y, KuBar - and no doubt some more that I haven't mentioned! The event was also sponsored by Gaydar Radio, the Mayor of London (bless!), GLA, Jose Cuervo and QX and REALSoho.co.uk provided web promotion and the official website for the latest info, line-ups and photos of the event!
