Miss Coco Peru...
review
This has to be one of the month's little undiscovered treats... Coco Peru is unspeakably, outrageously fabulous. This one-wo/man show has been one of the highlights of my Fringe... a relentless barrage of gorgeous anecdotes that are endlessly hilarious and, perhaps surprisingly, even touching.
Her beautifully crafted monologue was variously punctuated with songs such as showstoppers from Little Mermaid to Dolly Parton camp classics - with which we were all encouraged to join in. And we did.
Perhaps the most memorable words of wisdom that I took home with me tonight were from Coco's take on Deepak Chopra: "Live your life in the present... because life is a present... yeah... well, my present's damaged and I want store credit!"
You're all mad if you don't grab a ticket before she leaves town. Seriously good entertainment!
